Welcome matey  ;-)(-;

pretty good shot  ;-)up.....how many takes  :D

How long have you been playing ?
make sure you get the build photos up when you make a start...we like photos  ;)

Thank's for the reply, ive been doing wheelchair Basketball for a few years and enjoyed it ever since i started and the shots were at a tournement so i got fouled and just always found it easier to shoot backwards from the free throw its just one of the quirks about me which is something im hoping to show with my buggy's.

Thank you all for the replys to my thread the response have been fantastic and its great to feel welcome :) im just gonna say a bit about myself im not fully wheelchair bound but do rely on it for long distances i have recently turned 17 and want to have a beach buggy as my first car due to my disability im going to have to drive an automatic and if any one has a fully automatic gearbox for sale possibly from a bay window camper or T3 or knows someone that does i would be very interested.

Hello and welcome!

They must be the moulds that my last buggy shell came out of, as you say the old shape Jas moulds. Nice shape for a LWB. Did you buy them off a guy called Cliff?

I think the only thing they were missing was the dash mould but Fibretech on here's got a Jas dash mould if you need one doing.

Here's the one I built recently...

We got the moulds from Clayton in Aylesbury, and they are for the main body, bonnet and dash, however i will eventually want to create my own style of dash.

We will be creating sidepods eventually which we will be making a mould of, and also a roof, and these will be the basis of my initial business.

Long term i want to adapt the Buggy to not only suit me but also address the design so it can become more of a daily vehicle without losing the initial fun aspects of the vehicle.

I remember a good few years ago there was a mag feature on one of the blokes having an auto box on his buggy as he had lost a leg,
I cant remember who it was though,
All I can remember was, it was a red buggy, and he had a matching van.

Sounds like our good friend Ollie? He's not on here but a regular at Swanage, Volksworld etc. based in Dorset (near Terry "Flags")

Hi Conner.

Yep Ollie at Beetlemagic is the man o speak too. He has a fantastic reputation of adapting vintage vw's for different types of disability. He lost a leg a few years back in a camper accident and since then has adapted his buggy to run with an autobox from a rover / jag or something like. He has also do fully hand controlled type 2 campers etc.
