good news then,
you sure about the 24V at the battery if it has that much it is likely to explode as you drive it as it will boil and your liughts will be uber bright.
a fauly regulator giving occasional 16v meant me driving with lights  and heater blower on to dissipate the excess until I got a new regulator.

I got home from work in the buggy tonight and noticed that my voltage meter wasn't reading right.
Only showing 12v not its usual 14.5 don't know what's wrong yet need to look at it in the morning

I must say you had me worried it wasn't going to be on the road for the weekend.  That would have been a real sickener.  Only trouble now is that I'll be taking all the stick about not having mine on the road all weekend

That's the worst bit!  To be honest, when people constantly ask "is it finished" I wonder if they have anything else to talk about and why I bothered to go to where ever it is - because surely, if it was finished - I'd be in it. Duh!

But I guess at the same time, it's a good kick up the arse

Exactly! Which if you remember at this years kit car show, I took great pleasure asking you guys if yours were nearly ready, I know it's annoying really, but it was pay back for all the (and I stress well meaning) that all the others did it to me!!!
