I have a few more plans for this year....

1. Sort out my steering as soon as the gash in my finger heals up
2. Seat .... I really want to try and get something sorted more suited to my physical stature and I have a plan... pics to follow when I get round to starting on them
3. Get the other Jaycee bits fitted

I was going to put on 1600 heads barrels and pistons over the winter but he house move brought that to a stop.   So will either do that over this winter or if the summer turns out crap again I may do that earlier..... though I am still tempted to put a 1776 in as the hills where I live certainl make a small motor work hard.

But all plans on hold next week as its the annual trip to Glastonbury .... and before you say it ... no I am not too old, no I am not a hippy, yes I am too fat, yes we are going mainly for beer and a guys week away

Can I ask I see in one of the photos of the engine a bracket across the back of the body tub which I assume is for fixing rear belts, I need to do something similar in mine did you buy or fabricate yourself plus how does it mount as i'm thinking of coming off the rear shock / suspension as I have seen on others?

The bracket you spoke about ... picked it up last year when Adam split his buggy.  It was a Flatlands one.  Its been slightly modded so it has a bracket that loops up the back of the tub so the harness / belts can be fastened through it ... part of my plan with the seat changes as my harness is in the backbreaking floor mounted position at the mo.   Not sure if I have any pics of it before it was fitted.   I will have a look.  Can try and take some of it on the buggy just a bit of a bugger of an angle and I also cant get it out of the garage at the mo as I have the steering in bits.... hence the gash in my finger    but I will see what I can do

I can say this without fear of offence as its only me that will be offended... my arse is bigger than yours    thats the problem    I have some others in the garage now that I know will fit its just a case of modifying brackets and how far back / low I can get them.   If they work I will get them recovered as I like the look.  If not .... will put them up for sale and I may end up going down the fibre glass seats route... the problem I have is I sat in a 7 with the high back fibre glass seats and wow it was tight.   Sort of doing everything on a tighter budget at the mo is whats causing a few challanges.... rooms to re-decorate, furnature to buy.... all the usual crap of moving house... but will get there in the end I am sure.

I have seen some of the flatlands ones before on other buggies but they aren't cheap so now mines on the road will bring it down to work and fabricate something myself , seeing how yours is modified has given me some ideas though don't worry to much about any more pics as sounds like too much hassle you just rest that hurty finger so you can get on with putting the buggy back together

mm so where is this slight dirt, that looks cleaner than mine have ever done even out of the box new.

there are some 7 type fibreglass seats with low sides that are made in 2 different widths tony .
mine are 40mm wider (which I had made) than 7 type and these on e bay are the same width ,worth a look. £90 each.
