Arian Flux..... every year they put up the premium.  Every year I call around and get a cheaper quote.  Every year they either match it or last year was cheaper than any other by a few quid.  So now paying less than I was 5 years ago

I use A-Plan insurance.

Used Adrian Flux for many years (in fact my brother to begin with and then me) - since 1984 on and off - seemed to be £125 like forever! But I had business networking mate who works for A-plan and said go then have a go not thinking they could do it and then surprising they did and got a great deal - beating Adrian Flux and the like (even with the backa nd forth you have to do with AF when renewing). Now I would just go to the branch that specialises in buggies:

Mine was £97 for the year, Comprehensive, Social domestic, Pleasure. Excess £100, Windscreen £75, EU travel included. 5,000 miles p.a Valued at £7500
The company they used is Highway.

I Know my mileage and value is quite high for most so you might get a better price.

I binned off Flux's years ago in favour of TR Youngs/All Styles.

Been with Flux since 1991, always going thru the getting another quote and matching it etc.
Last year at VW Elemental show filled in a questionaire at HIC stand to get a free pen and key ring and their quote was
much cheaper. I went with them because Flux wouldn't quote against themselves (same company).

Will look at A plan this year 

Insurance threads can get as boring as vzi 'What's the best oil' threads as everyone has their favorites and there's no 'best' insurer as everyone's circumstances are different (ages, driving records, areas etc.)

A list of 'Buggy/Kit Car' friendly insurers would be best so people car try if not all then at least three or four of them and play them against each other to get the best quote.

Just remember that if you go with, for argument's sake Flux's, you're not actually insured by them, just through them, they only act as brokers.

Though it can be useful to know folks tales about insurance companies. The plan is to do a sticky listing the companies  and any direct useful info once we have complied the current data/suggestions from members on them.

I'm with Adrian Flux too £98 if I remember correctly, I did also get a quote from A-Plan as recommended by Andy and they did marginally beat them but decided to stay with Flux as I have my other classic car policy with them as it was only a few quid although I have just had to pay another £15 for my agreed value 

TR Youngs for me too.

Didn't like the way Fluxs quoted me a high price after years on using them, then dropped it by a huge amount to match another quote.

I use sure term. Very cheap for me as i find it hard to get insurance for my classic car policys. But be warned do not cancel with them as they will try charge you more than the policy is worth. But if your planning to keep vehicle for the full term of the policy then there defo worth it. (for me anyway) haha

I got my renewal £170    so I rung Flux and they got it down to £88.90 

I have been using TR Youngs/Allstyles for several years.
Started with Adrian Flux but got fed up with the annual hike then getting it back to where it was after threatening to leave. Never get that with them.

They placed the insurance with Highway which is part of Liverpool Victoria so should be a reliable policy.

Just got my quote £179 A/flux so will have a look else where.. i did the rounds over the yrs but the only reason i went with A F is that they hold mt no clames bonus.. no where else would.. My last one was T R Young but there price last yr was £220.....

Called A plan £130 all in called A Flux back to say i got a better quote.. £126 now they can do it for... how can they just take off £50...

Just had my renewal come in £128 with Volksworld insurance
gone up £8 for this year
