Someone suggested I put this up, as getting the power to the horn push using the
VW setup can sometimes be harder than in needs to be.

The column has a bearing set inside a plastic sleeve and the power comes into
the bearing itself.

To allow the wiring to the horn button to rotate with the column and not wrap around it as the steering is turned,
I made a brass sleeve which mounts onto a plastic insulator.

The brass sleeve slides down the column and contacts the inner race of the bearing, the plastic sleeve insulates it
from the main column.
To  the brass sleeve I have soldered a wire, it travels 'up' through the steering boss to the push button, where upon
it is earthed to the boss itself when the button is pressed.

The main thing with this is that it rotates as the column does and so the wiring moves around.

So far its worked perfectly for years, and I hope its something that may help someone in the future.

I will try to get some better photos soon  :)
