Evening all,
I am slowly restoring my Volksrod, it has a fuel injected Type 3 engine, I've ditched the fuel injection in favour of carbs. I don't want to buy a new kit purely because of the cost, does ant one know of a second hand set of carbs and manifold or know if I can utilise the bits from another twin port motor, it wouldn't bother me if it had a single carb, if that would work.

You can get an original twin solex kit off a 1600 type 3  or any after market carbs but the injection system is simple just having a single power wire to the control box as long as you have the fuel pump for it. Plenty of info on line about the system..

Blooming nora ....  just got rid of a set of refurbished type 3 carbs.
