A damn good shout about this, especially to us newbies, luckily I haven't got one.

Another shout from me....... Take great care if replacing anything original. (ie VW manufacture). It`s not just the buggy world but classic car guys etc who despair at modern day replacement parts). Keep anything original that you can.. it may come in handy one day
