Thanks Snoopy, Its good to know that most of the modifications on the "wish list" have solutions, and a bonus that a MBC member has actually done the Corsa EPS conversion!

Apparently the most scenic drive in the UK is the winding coastal road from St Ives to Lands End via Zennor!

Cornwall is a stunning area. Drove my first buggy from the north east down to a campsite at Crantock, (Newquay). Took the trip to Lands End. This was way back in 1974. Even earlier, the 1950`s & 1960`s, my family visited Cornwall with mu grandparents numerous times. On one occasion, summer 1970, I took my first lone drive to Newquay in my first Beetle, (my first car). This trip took 13 hours !!!    A different world then. The trip from the North East over to the M6 was ok. M6 & M5 tedious and slow going. Especially as if I remember correctly the motorway ended about Exeter way. Then.... the trip over Bodmin Moor.... So much traffic July/August time. All roads south feeding vehicles onto the A road which was entirely single carriageway. The entire part of this trip was stop start....  I always felt that I was close to the end of any of these trips when we crawled thro Indian Queens....  Newquay - just out of this world back then. I don`t think I am looking back thro rose coloured specs when I say Newquay thro the 60`s was the English equivalent to the American Californian hippy movement.  I never saw any trouble in Newquay just that distinctive smell in the air 

Some good memories there! I remember seeing Buggies in Newquay in the mid seventies as a teenager and wanted one then. Its only taken me nearly 50 years.
I'm looking forward to taking mine down there when it has a decent roof and a few other mods.
When the final section of the A30 is completed later this year it should only take about 3.5 hours from Worcester to Penzance (other than in school hols)

Thanks Snoopy ,that would be great. Have done a little more research into the power steering modification and watched a few you tube tutorials. it appears the Corsa C is now the preferred option as its adjustable too. Just need to find someone to do the work, as my skills are limited to driving and polishing at present!

Have a look around an industrial estate. Find a local garage that doesn`t look too iffy. Have a large jar of coffee with you. Hand the coffee over and say you are looking for some advice on the way forward for your project. I would be surprised if the owner couldn`t give you some advice on who to approach for your various needs. Mig welding / Tig welding stainless / steering hydraulics and anything  else related to a build. I have found over the years that the mention of a beach buggy gets you talking all afternoon.
