Photo of Manx 2 body with twin baby weber 34ict, built by Flatlands for me 12 yrs ago, note the lower-down linkage he used. Not sure of the make. The CB Performance linkage you have fits ok on standard VW Beetle engine with twin weber 34ict carbs (done it!).

Thanks Mel....  Going to go for the low linkage. The 34icts I have sit on spacers to raise the air filter base high enough for the hex bar to pass over the top of the alternator / dynamo. The CB set will end up on a Beetle, it won`t be a total loss.

Mark.... Flatlands....  He bowed out of the buggy side of things some years ago now. He couldn`t maintain sufficient profit to make things worthwhile. He has gone back to his first passion. That being motorbikes. He has a revised website on the go... 

Spacers are handy. When I first fitted mine every time I parked soon after I could hear a fizzing,  it was fuel boiling off in the carbs. A thicker gasket solved it. No icing problems though.

I was always told never use hex bar linkage on Weber 34 icts they wear out the throttle spindle seals and start sucking air in which make the AFR'S jump all over the place.

Years last i have turned a few with the empi hex bar and it was true, changed the seals and fitted CSP Bell Crank no issues and alot better to tune.

If you like reading Weber stuff.....A good (rare) paperback book written by Bob Tomlinson who worked at CB Performance "Weber tech manual"  from CB Performance books, produced around 1998, probably difficult to find now.

Those are Kadrons, Solex 40-44's, not 34ICT's

Oops, sorry well spotted....I forgot that the large Kadrons were originally fitted by Flatlands in 2012, and I changed them for the Webers around 2016. Hopefully correct piccie of 34ict Webers below
