Once the V5 is in your name with a plate on the car, it will indeed be good news

Looks promising so far though  ;)

Unsure who the other Buggy has ended up with, but if any advice is needed to help them with their predicament, then please get in touch  8)

They'll probably inspect it and de-register it.

The owner of the other buggy has been informed, through a member of the forum, what there correct registration is,  so hopefully they can just apply for it using a v62 form

The other Buggy should be straightforward to sort out - V62 would be the most obvious one. The only real complication that may arise is from them digging their heels in and refusing to accept that they initially had an incorrect reg on their car to start with. Could go either way with DVLA that one, but any caseworker worth their salt would see the error straight away and probably just ask for a quick inspection or confirmation of numbers on the vehicle to ensure that they match the V5 and that normal service can then resume.

It does go to prove how essential it is to keep any information up to date, especially engine numbers, and to carefully check and scrutinize every single number on the vehicle and V5 when purchasing anything. I personally now ask for VIN and engine numbers to be included on any purchase receipts just in case.

That really is a result!  You've had phenomenal patience and perseverance throughout the sorry tale, so glad it's paid off. Nice one.
