Hello everyone, I am selling my Kyote LWB buggy due to a change in my circumstances.

As I said, it's a Kyote long wheel base, built on an original Beetle chassis from 1968.
The engine is a T1 dual port 1600cc, and I don't know the true mileage because until I bought it 3 years ago the speedo wasn't working (it is now and accuracy has been checked against GPS).

The V5, which is in my name, shows the buggy as a VW Convertible (ideal description), and it's classed as a Historic Vehicle which makes road tax free.

As of 4th November 2021 it has a fresh MOT, passed with no advisories.

Please note it is not MOT Exempt because has not remained substantially unchanged for 30 years or more due to the body change to a buggy in (I think) 2001.
Even so, I always count an MOT as an annual safety check and would recommend it to anyone running a mature vehicle.

The car drives very well with no known faults, will get up to 70mph with no problems, and corners like a go kart on the wide tyres.
Everything works as it should - engine / brakes / lights / steering / wipers etc.
The seats are vintage bucket in the front and I have fitted new seats to the rear along with lap belts.
Steering wheel is a Mountney which gives you plenty of comfort.

As you can see from the photos, I have recently added white alloy wheels, which set the body off nicely, with new tyres all round. There is also a spare white alloy which carries a used tyre.

The paintwork is a little crazed at the nearside quarter, but the colour change is superb as you walk around the car.
Unfortunately it has been so difficult to get a proper match that any (very small) touched up places show when close up as the colour change is slightly different.

The exhaust is a so called quiet pack, stainless steel, and gives a great VW Beetle sound without being too intrusive. The previous exhaust was a pair of cannons, and far too loud for my tastes in that you couldn't hear yourself talking at 60mph.

There are some spares and tools to go with this car - plugs / HT leads / points (although it has electronic ignition fitted) / coil plus original jack and wheel brace, can of engine oil and oil strainer + anything else I've forgotten.

All round, a brilliant car with bags of fun to be had, lots of head turning and waves from passers by.

Priced at £4,500 I feel this would be a great buy for a new or experienced buggy owner.

I will be donating a small amount of the price to this forum towards running costs as they have been so friendly and helpful during my membership here.

I am based in a village just north of the Medway Towns in Kent, ME3 postcode.

Any questions, just ask me.

Cheers :)

I agree this is a bargain at this price. A full mot with no advisories.  Just the sort of buggy for someone new to the buggy scene or equally for someone returning again. No hidden surprises for purchaser so you can buy in confidence. Good luck Hugh and best wishes. Stay with the forum.  ;-)up ;-)up

This must be a sight most of you fear, a buggy on a recovery vehicle, but in this case I drove it on...

Delivery to the new owner is tomorrow.

Cheers :)
