Hi guys,

I have a GP mk1, It needs some work doing to it but now I dont have the time to do the work myself.

I would like to drive it around for the summer but its not ready.

Just wondering if you guys know a place that would work on it for me. Things like adjusting my steering column because its too low and fitting my new carboretor and just general work on it.

Its sorn off the road so would have to be picked up.

If any of you know someone or a place that fixes buggys the please let me know.

Many Thanks

Jason

Hi Buddy.

Where are you in the UK.

If in the Midlands could also Try Lee at Volksmagic 0121 541 2278.

Lee now sells teh Doon Buggy kit and has done loads of work on loads of buggies over the years, including doing a buggy build for Volksworld and VW motoring.

Hi Jason,

Hope you doing well, glad to see you still have the buggy (I remember it from Swanage two years ago), I can certainly recommend the guys who did the work on my buggy, House of Dub run by Spike Hughes. They did a great job on the rebuild - re-wiring loads on mechanical stuff (as well as the new engine assembly etc.) and steel work. Though he does have a low loader, so can collect it fine, he is based near Leighton Buzzard in bedfordshire, so still might be a bit too far for you.

If its someone more local I'm sure any good air cooled VW garage can help. Is there a lot more to do to it other than the carbs, Steering?

Cheers Andy R.  :)
