They came on a few cars back in the day Hillman ford.

There was no fixed recommendation, whatever folks could get to fit really.

Capri MK2, Hillman Avenger, HB Viva were all common fitments.

The last one I worked on had Austin Allegro ones which I replaced with early Toyota Hi Ace van ones.
