If you can find suitable wheels in 4x130 then great, just fit stock rear drums. You'll get good $$$ for your old wheels and rear drums.

standard rear drums about £45 a pair plus 8 wheel bolts, front discs came in with the 1500 beetle in 67 and as David says your drums and wheels will sell.

Rite what size wheel well 15"s but how wide it has 295 on at the mo and they hang out and wonder all over well guess that's why    So 6's or 7's and 4's on the front going for the old school look

old school UK was 7" rims with 205/70 X 15 tyres of the jags and alike back in the day,  185 will go on the front on a 6" rim but entirely up to you they are all different.

How far your tyres stick out has just as much or even more to do with the offset of the rim than the width of the rim. For example I have 15x8 with 275/60/15 rears, but because the rim offset is minus 4mm all of the tyre tread is under the wheel arch and tyre sidewall bulge sticks out just 5mm.  If you had a 15x10 rim with the same minus 4mm offset and the same 275/60/15, the tyre would sit in exactly position in relation to the body, ie only the sidewall bulge sticks out just 5mm. I'm guessing those rears you have at the moment have something like a plus 30 or 35mm offset.  Remember offset is not the same thing as backspace. Here is a good tool that will help you understand and choose wheel offsets and tyre widths,  https://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp  If you remove a rear wheel and accurately measure the offset  you can input the specs of your rims/tyres in the first section of the tool then play about with sizes in the second section of the tool to see how it compares.

what works for a buggy and i know most of you have had buggy's along time, i feel that due to having the wide 295 on the back that it follows the tramlines and road a lot  so wondering what sizes most of you run? and i know wheels are a personal thing,  so guys i asking what tyre sizes are you running? i know for nige (the chap who built it) it was more the look he was after,  where as i want to be able to drive it and guess it over tyred at the mo

Rear 275/60/15 on 15x8, Front 195/60/14 on 14x6






I have also used Rear 235/70/15 on 15x7,  Front  195/55/15  on 15x6  as below

255/70 15 and 205/60 15 on 8" and 5 1/2" rims.

Really like the look of  skinny up front the yellow one but not sure what it would drive 😬 also the The last pic (red buggy) not that skinny but 😎
