roll bar/cage?get 1 made ,thier should be plenty of talented metal manipulators in the glasgow area(racecar/stock car/etc)same for rear cage.alloy tanks are not much good in buggys as you cant see how much fuel is in it,go for a plastic tank or try agricultural sprayer /garden machinery suppliers as they often have plastic tanks that have all fittings and even guages built in at a fraction of american import prices.if i was getting a new tank i,d opt for a custom made alloy tank,.steering column? 1303 yes, others no they are getting very hard to find in good nick.

Cheers for the advice, the engineering heritage of Glasgow is mostly history now, never thought of an agri tank, will have to widen my search.
Thanks for your time

Ross Morrison at RMR Restorations will be able to make you a roll cage. He is located just outside of Bishopton. Try the West of Scotland VW forum to see if you can get a column.

Cheers for that, will probably end up making the cages myself, already a member of  the westies so will try them next, not in any great rush just collecting bits as they come along. Also buggy is somewhat on hold for to v5 issues
