So after a year long Raspberry shapped hole in the garden I've finaly got the next project home.

Boy is it rough.

It certainly looks like it's been in a few abusive relationship.

Glad it's found someone to love and nurture it back to immaculate health.

So what parts do you need?

I've only ever seen 1. That was rough too.

This is the pan that I'm using to build it as the yellow 1 broke in 2 at the shortened frame head when we pulled it out, no closing panel behind the beam combined with 40 years of road salt and crud equals a tunnel that rots from the inside.
This shell is a basket case though.

I've got 1 and 1/2 (Rear section cut off where the T starts)  Dave but no doors, I'm going to build it with the T top and look into getting the doors made when it starts raining.

Out or interest Flags/Manxdavid, the screen surround on the T-top is metal with a flat glass, on the one I saw it looks like GRP with curved glass. Is that due to the T-top, or an option back in the day?

As standard, they all came with flat screens in alloy surrounds, the curved one must've been a custom/botch job.

I've been stripping and accessing what work needs to be done fibreglass wise. I have got 2 pairs of fantastic round truck lights with a stainless surround that I had planned to use but when I offered them up they don't suit the boxy lines on the rear and it would be another big repair so have decided to keep all the lights as close to what it's got on as possible.
I do know it must have been built after a good rummage in a scrap yard.
Rears are mk2 Capri
Front indicators are Escort Mk1
Headlamps are early Beetle lens covers with trimmed inner rims but Mk2 Polo semi sealed lamp units and mounts screwed straight into the outer bowls.

So it's been lots of searching on FoMoCo and Bosch part numbers then trying to get replacement parts as they are all goosed but I've tracked down what I need.
Every single nut and bolt is a different size/standard and seized, I've had to break out my BA spanners for the first time in years.
Next job is drilling out the 50 odd rusted screws holding the side pods and rear corners on.
Or I could just put the engine in and drive it as it's MOT exempt!
