Thread rationalised after trying to find one post out of 24 pages, #Getting closer now so here are the routes we used last time A12 A28 up and A7 over the dam return. We will need to put up the first meet service area and other stops  going up. Return will be services on the dam and Bing Beach club at the end plus stops on route.

Just looking at some stop/ refuel and catch up places so they can be put into sat navs then anyone with an up to date one can lead the convoy for a while.

First meet for both ferries
A20 Petrol DP DE VINK 2913 Lw Nieuwerkerk     23 miles from Hoek and a fraction more from Rotterdam Port.

A28 Esso  8070NA Nunspeet  62 miles from last stop

N33 firezone Zuidzijde 9452 VB Rolde  64 miles  from last stop

IBW Mausel 9635 TE Noordbroek 31 miles from last stop

Way home.
Shell A7 8406 QQ Tijnje 45 miles

on the dam E22 A7  Texaco Petrol 8766TS Breezanddijk  100Miles from IBW

Shell Bospoort A4 2wz 2353 ZW Leiderdrop 50 miles from last stop

Bing Beach Club 81 Zeekant 3151 HW Hoek van Holland to get food and tyres on the sand. 34 miles from last stop.

Thoughts on route and stops and does it work in your sat navs put in as routes or individual trips.

100 miles may be cutting it fine for some fuel tanks, especially if some of the fuel stations are closed on the bank holiday and we then have to run about looking elsewhere

Quite a few ran out (or got uncomfortably close) a couple of years back in Germany

No problem Dave include the " A7 shell if needed"   that cuts the 100 miles in about half and being motorway services they will be open. the  N33 firezone is also 24 hour

Just been chatting with A-Plan with regards to EU travel and they don`t have any new information either.

To save hundreds of phone calls, they have asked me to put something on here

Until such time that we physically leave the EU, they will not be issuing the Green Cards for European travel as our documents should suffice. We are advised to take all of our documents (which we are legally required to do anyway) as they are currently recognized by the EU.

As the whole situation is fairly fluid as to whether we are in or out of the EU when we travel, it has been advised to wait until 2 weeks before we travel to see if we are coming out, and if so, only then to think about green cards being needed.

If we do end up being out of the EU when we leave, then we will also require an International Driving Permit, which can be obtained over the counter at a main post office on production of a driving license & passport for ID, a Passport photo and a sum of around £8

Its going to be a last minute thing before we know anything, and no point panicking until then - currently, we are still in the EU and nothing has changed.

IDP is £5.50 at PO.

I got one last week as I have the old style of Driving Licence without photo and think an IDP will be slightly easier for Dutch police to understand.

By all documents I take it you mean MOT, Insurance and DL but not V5.

The fluid state has frozen as Mrs May is pushing her unacceptable deal or nothing but staying put so no need to worry as the dead line of the 31st October will come and go and we will be back before then.

Begs the question whether you signed and are this still bound by the official secrets act.

No secret Hugh it is all over the news unless the losses focus their tiny greedy minds.

Oh google is not letting me have my route up with the stops on it so via michelin is now showing the route.
