Hello everyone .!

So My uncle has had a cool looking buggy sat in his barn since I was born.. so around 23 years.

Two days ago I made him an offer and took it off his hands.! It's not mine and I can't wait to get to work on it.

I believe it's just in need of an ignition barrel which I've bought. Hoping I can pick your brains on here if I come across any difficulty ? :)

Welcome Scott.

Sounds like you've made a sensible acquisition.

Whereabouts are you - you might well find practical help nearby.

And can you post some images so we can see your new love.

My documents tell me it was a red VW Beetle from 1969. I think my uncle transformed it into a beech buggy in the late 80's. Still has the 1200 beetle engine in.

Welcome, good news on reviving an old buggy, after standing 23 years it will need stripping it all down and getting it safe so a good task for a members buggy thread.

It's a GP Superbuggy, ie a long wheelbase. Welcome!

"Ah, Beach Buggies, sure, just a quick cheap way of getting a few more years out of a rusty Beetle. You can throw one together in a weekend." anon.
