I'm trying to remove the bonnet and dash from Sidewinder. All going great until I come to the steering column which it looks I had to be removed? The column is fitted on a flatlands steering column support. I've released the column where it clamps near the beam axle. I've released the clamp on the flatlands support under the dash and, as far as I can tell, I should now be able to draw the whole steering column out through the Buggy? But it only moves and 2" and then stops dead. Am I missing something? 

hi, is all the wiring disconnected at the column, if so there is also a washer/disk, that sites at the base of the outer column tube, that may need removing

Daft question maybe...... As the column should come out complete as long as it is disconnected from the steering box flange pieces. Have you looked at the tube section on the flatlands support where the steering tube passes through. It is slotted and maybe you just need to open this slot up a bit with a screwdriver.
