I bought some 5 bar tread black rubber matting from Dubfreeze for £12 / metre. I am sure the guy who sold it will be at the NEC restoration show or the kit car show at Stoneleigh.

OHHHHHHHhhh  that's a mess. :o, that's the problem with a close fitting rubber anything, moisture cannot escape, hence the holey rubber matting that does the same job, but breathes, still cannot understand anyone's logic in putting carpet of any description in this type of vehicle ( well the ones that are used as they should be)

Glad I saw this. I was going to buy some normal rubber matting to replace the carpet glued on my tunnel.

Don't want to be a humbug but that mating wears really quickly and if your seats are bolted through you'll need to remove the seats to change the mating. Also water will get trapped underneath causing rot to set in much like snoppys earlier photos show. Just a warning but they do look smart

Agree Gary, thats why I used the poolside mat suggested by Hudge. Cut 2 mats for the front and enough left for at least 4 more if they wear.

Just an idea - I use my spare bits under the car whilst I am underneath it, so when you drop something ( and we do)  it falls on to the rubber and ends up in a hole rather than rolling around the garage floor trying to hide itself. ;-)up
