Just a quick update on the catering that Karen was volunteered to do.
The Pizza oven will be burning your finest Italian flat breads on Saturday evening for those that don't want to do a BBQ. So if you want to pick them up on the cruise they need to be under 14" and not frozen. It only takes a couple of minutes for each.

Breakfast baps on Sunday will be served from around 9am and will be £2 for 1 filling or £2.50 for 2, let me know before the cruise if you want in, all profit going to the football club. Fetch your own brews but I'm going to see if I can get the Burco boiler on.

Thanks guys and girls for a fantastic last Swanage not organised by me, the procession went a little wonky at the end due to a last minute route change and a confused marshal, it was good to see all the floats parked up though and we almost did another lap.
A well deserved Pride of Paddy award to Keith and a special mention to Mark and Sue for the entertainment and I'm sure you all appreciate them volunteering to take over the event and will support them throughout.
I received a couple of unexpected retirement presents which consisted mainly of Spam (you had to be there for the Spam banquet to appreciate it) and a stunning gear knob from Carl for the scirocco that was made by his brother. Cheers mate.
You never know I may even see you there next year.

They look a bit ugly without and a little bit bland with them fitted imho so I made my own from circular stainless plates.

It's that time of year to start a list.
The plan is to do a repeat of previous year's activities with a chippy run on Friday, the cruise on Saturday leaving at 11am, BBQ and beers in the clubhouse Saturday evening and the Carnival procession on Sunday.

As ever if anyone has any suggestions on the cruise or fancy dress shout them out.

Due to work commitments I will not be able to arrive at the football club until 5pm on the Thursday but feel free to arrive from lunchtime onwards however  you may have to use the toilets in the main car park.

I'll post up more details shortly but due to various reasons this will be the last Swanage that I (don't) organise. It would be a bit of a shame if it were to be the last one ever so I'm looking for a volunteer to take it on.
I'll give you all the assistance you'll need and you don't have to be local.

Some last minute updates and news from the football club.
Firstly Jazzy has had to pull out due to unavoidable reasons so your entertainment for the weekend is now being provided by Statler and Waldorf, AKA Mark and Flags.
The club have moved their Saturday game to an away fixture for us which will give us fairly solo use of the car park all weekend.
The clubhouse will be open Friday and Saturday nights for our entertainment and breakfast on Sunday, the BBQs on the patio will be fired up for Saturday evening.

Camping will be available from 1400 on Thursday, if you arrive early please chill somewhere until I have met with the club rep and taken charge of our facilities.
As always space is at a premium and tent's have priority on the flat grassed areas adjacent to the pitch, please do not put up gazebo's until everyone is in.
All Motorhome's are to be parked in the car park and if you are in a van levelling blocks are suggested or use the car park, Buggy parking is on the hill in a line as usual.
Parking for daily drivers is in the car park and trailers can be pushed into to area on the left of the gate.
The weather forecast is changeable with a light breeze and 34°C (yea right) or showers.

They didn't need a valve as the route of the breather pipe would put the inlet/outlet above the tank if (and when) they rolled.

Swanage is back again 27th to 31st of July

I've had confirmation from the Football club that we have the go ahead for this year.

The format will follow what's gone before with arrivals from Thursday 27th at 1230 for anyone that can do a long weekend.

Friday is a chilled do what you want day and Fish & Chips for Tea or Dinner if you're posh, I'll try to remember the gravy granules for you lot North of the M25.

Saturday is cruise day, leaving at 1100. Route is TBC but can you make sure you have enough fuel for around 50 miles. Late afternoon it's BBQ time at the club house. I'll supply the coals for you to burn your own meaty treats. Saturday night is party time in the club house so I'm looking for a volunteer to provide us with some tunes and possibly someone to do a bit of a quiz?

Sunday will kick off with the clubhouse breakfast followed by a chance to talk crap while you look at other buggies until we form up for the procession at 1430. For anyone that can do the Sunday night you are welcome to stay until Monday lunch.

Cost for camping is £7.50 a night for adults and £5 for under 16's
Breakfast cost TBC

Normal rules on tents taking priority over vans on the flat grassed area etc.
Limited spots for motorhomes in the carpark with NO electric HU's.

Seal pro every time for me Scat and JayCee are ok, EMPI are pony unless it's for a temporary fix but for budget the stainless standard type are a good option if you can find them.

Nothing wrong with centrifugal advance on twin carbs unless Porsche got it all wrong on the 356 or 912.

I use a 5amp battery charger to check all circuits less starter before the battery goes in, never had a problem so far.

Some good news for those that are camping for the weekend, I've been in contact with the football club and they have agreed to lower the camping price to £10 pp per night for adults and £5 for under 16's.

Also Sunday breakfast is confirmed at £7.50 pp.

I will be at the club from lunchtime on Thursday.

As said, semi auto pump and cover.
