Any recommendations? I'd like to have a fall back having just picked up another ticket in my daily drive...

Mike, I use Velociraptor. Works well.
Who needs prozac when you can drive a buggy?

Some of the cheapie Sat Navs have a selectable and annoying audible warning if you go over a speed limit    :-\

Thanks Guys, never thought of using my phone for GP  :oS....will see how it goes.

With the buggy MOT'd for another 12 months I am determined to get more use out of it this year....the tester laughed yesterday when he saw the limited mileage over the last 4 years  ;D ;D. Trouble is 3 kids and running a footy team at weekends doesn't leave much time for buggying..Im stopping the football now so should have a bit more time :)

Any way, this year I plan to fit a CB and Stereo, some front driving lights, swap the dynamo for an alternator and perhaps finally fit the wolfrace slots I have been saving in the shed.

Must say after not being run at all over winter (big building work going on at home) I took it out yesterday for the MOT (had to repair the number plate light and a mavric headlight that wont stay still); It protested a bit at first but jumped in to life even if a bit lumpy until we got it on the motorway for a blast..by the time we got back it had stopped popping and burping  ;-)up ;-)up. Needs a bit of a tune though. We have Kadrons onboard and not quite sure about them but after my troubles with carbs in the past I think I will leave well alone.

My teenage daughter came to the MOT with me and moaned about it all the way until we got paparazzi'd at the traffic lights by some equally aged teens.

What speedo have you in at the moment ? I have an autometer speedo fitted and added a GPS module from demon tweeks    was an easy install and cable to the front wheel removed works a treat.

original beetle speedo in there at the moment. Which if anything is over reading. I just want a back up..quite fancied a separate unit hardwired in but will see how the phone app goes.
