Hello and welcome to the forum, you may like to introduce yourself in the 'newbies' area.

It sounds as if your chassis is pre 1966 and has king and linkpin suspension. Not a problem really as parts are easily available still but if any pins and bushes need replacing you'll need to get them reamed at an engineers, so keep things greased. A disc conversion is possible but pricey and not really needed with the front end of a buggy being so light. It's not possible to change your axle for a later ball joint one without changing the whole 'frame head' front of the chassis. Discs  wouldn't really improve braking over a well maintained drum set-up, some people like the fact that they don't need adjusting but I've never felt the need.

RHD conversion would involve cuting and drilling holes in the front cross member to relocate the brake master cylinder and sourcing and fitting a set of RHD pedals, either welding the steering stop and steering damper brackets (if one is fitted) to your axle beam or swapping it for a RHD one and changing the track rods as they're different lengths. You'll need some new brake pipes making up and probably some switches etc. moving. My buggy's LHD though and I love it! I actually converted mine TO LHD.

Post some piccies of your buggy, we like piccies! ;-)up

Hi Bridog, welcome to the forum. Good to see another Yorkshire buggyist on here. I'm in north Leeds, less than a mile from Horsforth train station, which is of course on the same line as Knaresborough.
Do you have a LHD specific dashboard panel. If so you can add that to your list if you want to change to RHD.
Is your buggy on the road, or a project?
