Hi all
I'm after some advice re the mini wiper motor, gear linkage & spindles plus wiper arms.
I've done a search on here and found some info but not all. So firstly where's best to source the stuff and what specifically should I ask for?
Secondly is the wiring significantly different to the beetle one that I currently have?
Lastly (for now) how exactly do I do the wiper arm mod so they sit nice and flush to the bottom rubber?
The buggy is booked for mot but I've removed the screen for now and put an interior mirror on the dash so it hopefully passes. :D

Can't remember where I sourced mine, google will help you find stuff though.  I ended up ringing through to the mini specialist I bought from and talked to him.

The metal guides for the worm cable I replaced with 8mm (I think) copper tube as the mini stuff was too short.

Wiring was pretty much the same, but if you google you can find a park circuit which requires an additional relay.

I didn't do any mods to the wipers, but mine don't both sit flush.  I mounted my motor on the drivers side, but if I were to do it again passenger mounted would reverse where they park.

you have a choice, the kango has a jag xj6 motor and drive with mini or morris 1000 spindles the jas has an mgb motor and morris thousand mix possibly with mgb spindles. both use adjustable length arms for l/h parking with 10 and 11 inch blades.

wiring wise the motors are better with the lucas column switch as it includes a bridge for the self park/ single sweep function although you can buy a relay for that purpose.

the outer tubes are flared where the drives clamp on, so I cut mine to the desired length and spacing then flared them with a ball bearing.

the sweep is set by the position of the drive pin on the gear wheel standard sweeps are 90, 110 and 125 degrees from memory but on the jas I removed the pin and re positioned it to suit my needs as I did not have a 110 gear.

motors have a large P clip to mount them both on the passenger side, kango is under the bonnet the jas is up in the corner behind the dash.

spindles come in various lengths with a stiff rubber/plastic tube cut at and angle to suit the rake of the mounitng hols and screen you can trim these to suit.

As Buggybaggy has one above and one below the drive cable and they stack park in the middle and sweep out. Kango lays flat on the bottom rubber jas has one flat and passenger at a low angle.
