Hi I'm building lwb fibre fab rat the tank is catching on the steering damper and on the colom around the joint do I need to make a bracket to sit the tank on or reshape it with fire spanner an hammer thanks

You can do either way but if you lift the front by packing it make sure the bonnet sits down fully and if you fire hammer it try yo avoid creases and if it is an old tank watch for the rust inside coming loose.

Go for the brackets - I spent years hammering mine and never got it right.
