I have a single stalk on mine at the moment but want to put twin stalks so I can lose the wiper switch off the dash, mines a '71 chassis with IRS but not sure what column I have as the builder has obviously put a earlier front end on it with a beam.
Here's a couple of pics with the steering wheel off but I will have to put some up of the end of the column near the steering box to see what's what


Any help or ideas appreciated as not sure where to start or go with this, for now I think I may just buy the wiper stalk and try and get it to fit if not may have to look at changing column!! 

Hi Mate.

Having a close look at the end of your column there and it seems that it did have a second stalk already it now has a wrap around cover over what used to be a twin stalk fitment.
Have a close look at what you got there, if you still got my number give me a call.

Cheers H that's what I was thinking and hoping as I saw the cut out on the right hand side but wasn't sure if that was just were the ignition and steering lock went, now with the lighter evenings I will hopefully get round to having more of a chance to look at it this week but I can chat with you on Wednesday over a pint

I think you are right it is for the lock to fit on the coloum I checked a spare that I had in my shed and took a photo.

A twin stalk setup won't fit on a single stalk column I'm afraid.

There is a tab on the column the cowling slides onto and it is in different locations on a single column compared to a double stalk column

Best thing is to try and get a full column with teh twin stalks on it and simply change the whole column over on the buggy.
