One for the painters out there

Would i be best getting a pigmented flowcoat to match the pigment in the gelcoat or a clear topcoat/flowcoat
also is there a way of thinning the flowcoat to use a sprayer instead of rollering?

forgot, do i need a flowcoat if i put 7-8-10 layers of pigment gel down wait 36-48hrs then rub back and compound??
