With big thanks to Gail, Vanessa, Allan, Dave and Max, the body was lifted off yesterday.

Just how heavy is the body?   ;D  ;D

Looks like that has been stood for many years, as Hugh says you may need an industrial size tin of WD40. Great team effort on lifting the shell ;-)up

Chocolate hobnobs Hugh. Only the best for the Team!

As Peter Kay says "They're like the bloody S.A.S. of the biscuit world. When you dip a Hobnob, they go, 'Again, again!'"

Useful tip. Afraid I would have innocently offered Rich Tea (they absorb well) and then found myself barred from the forum.

We collected it from a very lovely village called Wellow.

A few more pics of chassis modification and preparation.

When I picked the car up, the gearstick had a 90 degree kink in it as the gear stick / gearbox linkage was directly under the dash.
This has now been moved back 6 inches....... and yes, before anyone says it, I will need a shortened handbrake lever!

Nice work. Is the framehead already shortened?

I went to the Beaujangle 'factory' when it was going. it was no more than 3 old stables down a cobbled alley way... ;-)up

Hiya Manxdavid

Yes,  the framehead has been shortened,  but whoever did it butchered it with a hammer to be able to fit the brake master cylinder!  :-\  next job on the list!  ;-)up
