As it says in the title I need a few inches of steel brake or fuel pipe, preferably a bit of new that is left over not an old bit as I want to weld it.
It has always smelt of fuel under the bonnet, and I have found out why. The air bleed is a piece of copper pipe brazed (badly) into the filler neck, I gave it a wobble and out it came, I would like to replace it with steel welded in.

Tank is out and fully dry, no smell of fuel, so all I need is a bit of pipe OD 7-8mm or thereabouts. 7 at the moment but I own a drill.

I can pay the postage plus Paypals cut no problem, anyone got an off cut?

Cheers
Dave

I have a short length of brake pipe here - its the short 15" one

Its unused and still has the fittings on it - given it a scrape and its silver under the coating, so I guess steel not copper.

Only looks to be about 5mm OD though ?

Any use?

Got 5 inches with a rib one inch from an end so you can drill a hole then but the ridge up against the metal to weld around, only cost is a stamp so no worries as it goes in a standard envelope.
