Thanks for that link ;-)up ;-)up, I'm watching them also, but being the resident expert on these rims, my question is:

How difficult will it be to get m14 studs to suit the rims, or is it better to convert to studs in the drum and use tapered nuts?? ??? ???
Your advice will be appreciated, not just by me, but by others in the same dilemma.

I've been on the wolfrace site and could not see anything that might suit.
Cheers

I swapped to studs BUT they come with part of the stud unthreaded and if you fit the wheels the nuts just reach the unthreaded bit giving you the false impression that you have the wheel nuts tight.
Fixed this with 1/2" spacers

I also had to grind the rear studs a little shorter as they fouled inside the rear drums

Just a couple of points to watch out for

Wolfrace use a shank bolt pretty sure they are 5/8" or 49/64th diameter as they did 2 size holes. Bolts afe hard to find I got a set with oversize shank then had them machined down to suit. The wheels are located by the shank and use a washer with a slight cone on. They have been discussed before so do a thread search.

Found the thread and its seems they are like rocking horse poo,   M14 x 5/8 with the shoulder seem to be the most common, so decision time, do you buy the wheels and hopefully find the bolts ??? ??? or be happy with what ya got.

I guess you could use 12mm studs as they give you a greater thickness for the shank on the nut but You would need drums drilled for the 12 mm studs either screw in on splined knock in.
Cannot understand why there are so many wolfrace around with no bolts as they do not fit other rims.

Most studs are machined 20/20 and give a lot of clearance problems as mentioned.

However, Use these Type2 ones - they fit perfectly, and allow the nut to be tightened properly as they are split 30/10

I went through  this minefield 6 months ago when I changed to wolfrace slots and I contacted all the usual suppliers of custom wheel bolts/studs, the only guy who could come with anything was Maurice at Mr Tee. http://www.mistertee.co.uk/

There are 2 different sizes of bolt holes for wolfrace slots and they are actually 41/64 and 11/16 the taper in the hoLe is 30 degrees, the holes in mine were 41/64, 14 mm wheel bolts are no longer available new. The only off the shelf option was to have 14 mm X 12 mm reducing studs and wolfrace 12mm nuts with a 41/64 shank and 30 degree taper plus 41/64 washers also  with a 30 degree taper. The only person I found who could supply all of these from stock was Maurice at Mr Tee. See my build thread, ( Mercury's Predator )
Have fun. Be lucky
