Just got back from 4 days in France, 3 of them spent in Angouleme, one weekend a year they open up the old narrow street circuit for vintage and classic car racing. In the streets and squares around the circuit there were between a 1000 and 1500 classic cars parked up on display ranging from minis to pre war Bugattis and just about everything in between . Entrance to the circuit itself was 28 Euro which gave access to circuit viewing areas (but not the grandstands) plus full access to the paddock and pits and because all the race cars are privately owned they are all happy to tell you about their cars and let you stick your head under the bonnet. Although these cars are old and some worth over a Million pounds they really do race them hard around the narrow street circuit, there are no run off points, just stone walls, Armco, and a few oil drums, many of them did not finish the weekend in one piece.

Photos of race cars taken in the pits.

The next photos are just a few of the cars on display in the streets and squares around the circuit. Far too many photos to post them all but you get the idea.

Have fun. Be lucky

Looks good, pity the UK does not do more street racing.
