Over the last few years, I had been collecting parts for a major engine transplant in my Buggy, and as most of you probably know by now, I went down a completely different route instead with a Type 25 lump - so all the bits I have collected are now up for grabs.

I bought these carbs secondhand a good few years ago, and whilst the legendary John Gurney was building an engine for me, I sent these up to him, where he stripped them and rebuilt them for me, and set them up on my 1600 engine before dispatching it all back to me.

However, important to not that I never heard these carbs running, and they have been sat ever since in a dark and cruddy garage, so they are not as clean now as when I got them back. Manifolds are there, the air filters have some rust on the top, although they sit so high up in a Buggy, you will never see the top plate anyway. The linkage is present, but needs the spring clips that hold the ball and socket together, replacing as a few of them are missing - easily obtained and are relatively inexpensive.

The actual name of these carbs is Solex H40 / 44 EIS Brosal, although everyone for some reason knows them as Kadrons.

I`m looking for £150 for them, and I thought I would offer them here first before hiking the price up and chancing the bay of E.

Hump / Dump possible, but remember where I am and that not many pass my door - or can courier with Parcelforce for £12
