Hi, just joined this forum and need a little help. I sold my Mk 1 Volksrod based on a '54 chassis a couple of years ago to help pay for my wedding, and now it's time to replace it. I've been looking at UK manufacturers and would like some feedback from more expirienced builders. Could anyone please give me a pointer to which kit, in their opinion, offers the best all round value - ie cost of kit, most comprehensive kit, spares availability, back up from manufacturer etc'?
Cheers in advance

TBH there are loads of Buggy bodies available but very few so-called kits. Most are just the body mouldings leaving the rest; roll bar or cage design, steering column brace etc. to the individual builder. Most people are quite happy with this as it spreads the cost and lets folks put their own stamp on the car.

If you want a full 'kit' look towards Flatlands Engineering who sell the Meyers Manxter and Manx plus most other parts that you'd need.

As for 'spares availability' and 'back up' I don't really know what back up is required for two lumps of fibreglass. There are loads of suppliers for run of the mill repair and service parts for the VW chassis and drivetrain though and for build-up advice hey, you've got us guys!!!

Hello and welcome to the forum by the way!
