I need to tackle the shift rod bush on mine. Those pics are a great help. I also need to take off my steering wheel and investigate why its fitted upside down.

Mine was easier to do with the pedal assembly out the way. ;-)up

Thanks bud.... to be fair I should have done it as a how too guide for the shift bush but never gave it a thought till I came to post up what I did.  :-\
Will try and get some more done next weekend if I'm not at work.

Got some more work done on the chassis on Saturday till rain stopped play.
Underside all painted now. Just under seal to go on.

Replaced the fuel tank outlet pipe. The original fuel filter was torn but surprisingly clear of debris.

New one fitted.

As I'd got the paint out, I thought I'd give the fuel tank a refresh too.
Wire wool to clean down the tank and a spray of carb cleaner to get rid of any oil or grease.
Then a coat of chassis black all over.

Dug out a gear box strap I've had in the garage that I bought off EBay in 2012 (impulse buy after a few JDs was only a fiver too.) found a bag of M10 bolts and nuts to match so fitted it.

I think I got it in the right place, it wouldn't line up anywhere else.

Hope to get the body gasket done and get the body ready to go back on next weekend.  ;-)up
Better not blooming rain. ;D

Looks like I'm getting close to getting the body back on, if anyone is able to come round and give me a hand next weekend 18th 19th. Please let me know.
Need to get the gasket stuck down to the floor pan, drop the body on and bolt it all down. Connect the brake reservoir and start bleeding the brakes. And anything else I can find that needs doing.
