Hmm that's odd, I am sure there was a Harwich to Zeebrugge crossing but it doesn't seem to be available anymore.. or maybe I am imagining stuff.

I feel a bit of google mapping coming up to find a suitable meeting point for everyone  ::)

I bet the ferries still sail though, you would imagine they would have a near 24/7 back up staff.

So here are my own thoughts -

Last year we graciously got a discount amounting to around £10 off each way - not sure what we will get this year (if any) but I`m sure they may do something for us. A potential £20 saving is not to be sniffed at, however, I am mindful that the day after we are looking to return, the ferries are already indicating that they are near capacity, and we have a 2 week wait before we can make a deal.

So, do you guys want to wait 2 weeks and save £20, or shall I pick a ferry and some dates and start booking now whilst there are spaces?

Over to you ?

I thought the over night worked well, no rush there or back time to have a look around the dutch coast on the way back.
just looked at Harwich the sailing times are approx  the same as this years May 21st 11pm out and 25th 10pm return £294 with inner double cabin. I thought we paid around £220 this year but may be wrong.

I agree with Dave, I think we should start booking - it would be a real shame if we could not all get on together for the risk of saving £20

To make sure we are all on the same boat then, this is what I propose, and its pretty much as Snoopy has pointed out, as a re-run of last year

Sailing from Harwich to the Hook of Holland on the (on the Hollandica)
Departing Thursday 21st May 2015 at 23:00 Hours  and arriving  at 08:00 Hours on Friday 22nd May 2015

Cost £109 (Economy) + 2 Berth Inside Cabin £43

with a return journey of

Sailing from the Hook of Holland to Harwich on the (on the Britannica)
Departing Monday 25th May 2015 at 22:00 Hours  and arriving  at 06:30 Hours on Tuesday 26th May 2015

Cost £99 (Economy) + 2 Berth Inside Cabin £43

Total of £294.00 and can be booked here

I have now booked   ;-)up

You'd be mistaken to think that :) Dav is suffering from the Stockholm syndrome (see what I did there?) and is practicing his hurdy gurdy already..

Truth is Dav is driving one of my buggies to the IBW and has kindly volunteered to help with the onward drive to Sweden. He'll then be flying back from Stockholm to Manchester.
