Are the foam ones less corrosive to fibreglass than the powder ones?

Neither should be corrosive if the clean up is done quick enough.

I have a plumbed in powder system on the engine and CO2 under the bonnet where the electrics live and a hand held powder one as well, Big GP should be proud of me.

I have seen a demo of the powder system and what impressed me (over foam) is the way it absorbs loose petrol and stops it being flammable. It was demoed in an open fronted box with about half pint of petrol and some petrol soaked rag lit under the delivery pipe. It put the fire out immediately and when it had cooled the remaining petrol in the pan was like a goo that could not be set alight.

No buggy should be without one (or two) IMHO
