I've seen several pictures of buggys with radically cut down windscreens - more like wind reflectors. Can you buy these anywhere, or are they cut down standard windscreens ?

Yours was the very buggy I was thinking of  ;-)up. Was it an easy thing to do ? Is it just a case of moving the bottom of the frame up and getting the glass cut to size ?

Was already done when I bought the buggy but to be honest it doesn't look hard to do. I assume they slid the glass down from the channel, cut the glass, slid it back up into the channel and refitted the bottom seal. Trim the two ends off and by then fitting it to the buggy the ends bend slightly to clamp between the bonnet/dash.

Let us know if you need close up photos and measurements.  ;-)up

Screens are available in 12", 14" and 'standard' 16" sizes ready made.

I'm pretty sure that Andrews screen is the 12" one.

Yep, thats my guess. Not measured it recently but as I remember the screen size after it was trimmed down is now about 10 inches, its also at a sharper angle than most too. Before you rush into doing this style, take into account your seating position, eye level in relation to the top of the frame to the road ahead. Mine is now OK, looking over it but if you are watching for pot holes then you need to bob your head down to see them thru the screen. Plus think about the reflection of the sun from the top of the frame straight into your eyes.

Dont get me wrong, I love the look of the screen but just bare in mind these issues so you are OK.

find a local plant glass replacement company and the will cut any size.... you just need to work out how to mount it.  The manx style frame works well as you can just slide up the glass and mount the frame lower / at an angle..... but WHS re restricted view... also consider going down steep hills / going up steep hills.... I often get the frame directly across my line of sight so have to duck or look over the screen. Also if you ever want a roof.... remember you have  to get in and out ... challanging with low screens

I know I blow his trumpet a bit, Ooo err misses, but Chad sorted mine out.
I told him width,  height and colour of the frame and weather the glass needed to be tinted.

He sorted it, very impressed when it came  :D

Thanks guys. I was going to start with a 12 inch screen anyway. So I guess I will start there and see how it looks. I do like the idea of that westfield aero screen, but £60 is a lot of money for something that might not fit
