With a few interesting features/facts, my daily driver is for sale as it is a a few inches too long for my drive now that my dream car has arrived. I enjoy tinkering with my cars and this is too good to do the things I'd end up doing to it too, so the sensible thing is sell it to someone who will enjoy like I have. It's a solid, reliable single cab, with several engine options. Currently has a strong 1700 type 4 engine with twin carbs, lowered and sitting on slot mags. The engine is fairly fresh and fires up first time, every time. The servo brakes are effective and easy to use. Currently I've got a bug tech shifter fitted which takes some time to get used to (short, snappy shifts), but I can re-fit the stock shifter if you prefer which would reduce the price by £300. Structurally it is solid and flew through its last MOT (March 14, 9 months remaining). It also has 9 months tax (exempt of course).

Being a 72 it is a cross over model and has the advantage of servo brakes and front disks brakes but still has the more desirable (in my opinion!) lower mounted front indicators and wrap around bumpers. The interior is a 1/3 & 2/3 split seat, working CD/MP3 player and a colour coded dash. The picture shows a speaker box in the passenger side footwell, that is just because I took the picture after I had picked it up, it isn't part of the cab. My idea was to mount a sub in it and have it under the dash but I haven't got around to that, but if you like the idea you're welcome to it, an amp and a 12" sub I have.

The load bed is solid and currently has a lockable chest on it, which houses a leisure battery. All the drop sides are good and the latches are correct and present. The treasure chest area underneath the load bed is also solid and ideal for storing camping equipment etc.

An interesting fact about this van is that it was used by Oxford models for one of their die cast models, as can be seen in the pictures (with matching number plate!).

I have a couple of engine options available if they are of interest, I have a subaru conversion (2.0 NA) with engine, adaptor, ECU, wiring etc, which can be had for an extra £500 with me keeping the type 4 engine currently in it or £1.5k in addition to the current engine. I also have a 2007cc type 1 engine, twin Webers, stainless exhaust, Scat 35 cam, Steve Tims Stage 1 heads and many more features, a torquey reliable motor, £2.5k with me keeping the current t4 engine or £3.5k in addition to it. More specs available on request.

I hope it goes to a good home, as it has been well looked after and will last a long time in the right hands. The single cab is in Stoke-on-Trent.

Asking price is £8.5k ono, ideally I'd like a straight sale, but I may be tempted in a swap/px (cash either way), providing it'll fit on my drive of course :D
