My new motor doesn't have a fuel pump.  It also has twin Del DRLA40s.  So I have been watching the thread on electric fuel pumps started by Ben and think I will be going that way.  I also want to be safe and picked up on needing a relay (again thanks Ben for the wiring pic).  That got me looking .......

So can someone help and point me at what I need and where to get them...  I have found.....

The golf relay is just that an operating switch with no safety. You can buy oil pressure switches the have two circuits the light a closed- open switch and the pump feed an open -closed one.
Saying that mine has been ignition live for many years and in my big buggy crash the fuel tank ripped out of the shell so was not conected to a pump to leak.

Mine is also ignition live.

You are going to need a fuel pressure regulator with the electric pump and those Dellorto's. I've just bought these for my buggy and the bus.

Combines the filter with the regulator, just got to get some hoses made up now.

You dont need that kit above.........just a standard crossover relay! IMHO....

That'll do...........

I use a Holley Red rotary vane pump and regulator, the regulator doubles as a "Tee" piece.

I didn't bother with a relay for the pump, it does however have its own fuse in-line with the ignition live.

The best thing about electric pumps is not having to drain the battery simply to pull fuel through to the engine, just turn on the ignition, wait a few seconds for the sound to change (pressure level hit) and start the engine.
