the 70's those were the days chopping up oval and split screen beetles to make buggies and baja's, these days they are too collectable.

It was a fab buggy and my pride and joy  :)

I let my 'Twin' brother have it......, it got written off on the bridge going to Hever.....  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Its a blind summit and motor bike hit it head on as he cleared the apex..... Coming the other way  >:(

It went through many changes, but was really nice when the type3 1600 twin carb Variant engine
came along.

I think the type3 really suits the stark straight edges of the Manta Ray, it was a good era although
long ago, and somehow it lives inside you for the rest of your life :)

They were great times  ;-)up
