Hi Guys.

Trying to pass on a bit of good fortune, spread the joy so to speak.
But I'm bulk buying these hard drives though my work for my field team. And as such I get a pretty good discount.  So if anyone wanted one I'm happy to pass them on to you at what they cost me. Plus postage of course.

Its basically a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive in a caddy that converts it to USB.
I use them lot for back up, or just moving stuff around. Even have one in the post at the moment on its way to my sister in Canada with a load of films and music on it for her.

They are 160 GB which is more than enough for day to day use I find.
12cm long, 7 cm wide and just over 1 cm thick.
They come with the USB lead that has 2 power inputs in case your laptop lacks the grunt to fire them up on just one port. I've never had a problem though. And they also come with a rather naff, cheap and crap sleeve. But at least its stops them getting scratched in your pocket / laptop case.

A few pics, I've put an IPhone 3GS in the first picture just for size comparison. ( phone is on the far left)
and thats the naff case under them with the USB lead on top.

At the moment I have 4 of them for sale, one black, 1 silver and 2 blue.
Can also get them in red.
If anyone wants one they are just £15 each plus postage, but even that will just be stamp value, I don't charge for packing as I "borrow" it from work ;-)

I probably have about 20 more that I can order on that discount rate.
So if you fancy a specific colour then let me know and I will order it in.
Other wise I will probably just order them in black or silver and you get lucky dip !
So...
Anyone interested??

Peter

Great price, usb powered too. Im alright thanks but folks out there, if you have a computer which is not backed up with an external drive - get one!!!!!

(there are 2x types of computer hard drive - those that have failed and those that are yet to fail! And you don't want to loose all that data!)

If anyones unsure about backing up... Like me! ;D

My windows7 has 'RoboCopy' built in. so I just run a couple of batch files, in it I have set the command line switches so it just runs through
and bombs out at the end..

It saves navigating to several places and manually copying each directory or whatever you have... I just plug in the drive and run the .bat file

Like this...

robocopy C:\CoffeeCup\MyWebsite       H:\CoffeeCup\MyWebsite /S /A /ETA /PURGE
robocopy C:\Downloads             H:\Downloads /S /A /ETA /PURGE
robocopy C:\Users\Peter\Downloads       H:\Users\Peter\Downloads /S /A /ETA /PURGE
robocopy C:\Users\Peter\Pictures\AutoCollage     H:\Users\Peter\AutoCollage /S /A /ETA /PURGE
robocopy C:\MyBackUp             H:\MyBackUp /S /A /ETA /PURGE

Where /S = include subdirectories       /A=Copy only files with the archive attribute set. ie New or Changed files only! Skipping files already
backed up that are unchanged   /ETA= Show estimated time of arrival of copied files    /PURGE = Deletes destination files that no longer exist in source

Thats what I do any way.......... ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D
