Electric Fuel pumps - Discuss?

wired to a standard single oil switch it will not work correctly if at all unless you live to the pump then earth via the switch but then the pump will only work with the oil light on.

My pump is wired off the oil light thru a relay, including a priming switch.....however there's usually enough fuel in the float chamber before the oil comes up to pressure, so most times the priming switch isn't needed!

Here the alternator light is used, but either will do......
