Atmospheric, with it's own 'Sycamore Gap' tree growing out of the stone and not a colourful, noisy or smelly beach buggy in view !

Nice one and thanks Dave guess the out of the ordinary route stirred some interest in the castle but 36 buggies down the dead end would have been awkward.

Not just a dead end a grassy footpath

I recognised the sharp bend with the little no parking sign and the steep hill when we walked along that little bit of the road

Here's tree that made us think of sycamore gap, perched right on the ridge. Probably left as a way marker on the drovers road.
