Actually got a spare minute to post some pics of my buggy.

Bought already built, it is an East Coast Prowler fitted with some Flatlands parts such as roll hoop and engine cage.














I believe it is a 1600 but the v5 says 1200?  Is there any way to tell? The v5 also classifies it as a Beach Buggy.

I like the street look so since owning it have added dropped spindles and had adjustable spring plates fitted.

The front bumper had been removed so I could fit some brackets to enable towing via a braked A frame.

I've changed the windscreen from 14" to 16"  to be able to see better, being above average height and got a hardtop from East Coast Buggys.  I like the look of it but it does make it harder to get in and out!

Future fiddling wish list would be, among other things, to move the fuel tank to the front, maybe change the shifter and or steering wheel as there's not much room for my knees as it is and raise the front back up a bit as it is too low at the moment. The wiring seems a bit of a tangle, don't know how normal that is, so would be good to get that tidied up. I suspect most people have got a list of jobs/things they'd like to do.

I've got lots of questions, welcome any advice and don't mind being told how to suck eggs. Space, time, current knowledge and experience is limited but im not in a hurry as don't plan on ever selling it. Right now, I'm looking through some of the previous posts on here as there seems to be a wealth of information available and lots of topics covered.

Will get around to registering it on here when I get another spare minute.

Lovely to see this Martin. Looks ready to rumble and so should be driven as much as possible.

You seem to have the normal level of plans / intentions / dreams of most buggyists. Try not to do anything that will put it out of action during the good weather but I'd agree the front looks a bit low - purely that a bit of braking could lead to the smell of rubber and fibreglass warming up additionally taking a nick out of your smart front wings.

Getting in and out with a hard top is just practice - you can also put a towel or cloth on the 'door' edge to reduce the possiblity that any marks are made on the body ?
As for questions that's what this forum thrives upon so bring them on and photos like yours always catch attention.

You might want to address a couple of things ,you might like the super low stance but it looks like you,l fall fowl of any on the ball copper if you have a double puncture chassis will hit the road.and your exhaust is definitely illegal for road use,you are not allowed to have exhaust fumes exiting in pedestrian s faces. Both issues easy to fix and saves your licence

Hi Martin busy making it yours fully lowered on the front you may find it a bumpy ride, there are plenty running off road exhausts with no problems but they do make a lot of noise driving as the vacuum behind the screen with the air flow pulls the noise in. Hope fully see it thursday at the stanway harvester.
