Hi, so my buggy build is getting to the point where I need to think  a be out gauges.  Obviously not much room so am content with basics, speedo, fuel gauge and a few warning lights.  Starting from scratch (project I bought had botched gauges from who knows what which did t work anyway). with the exception of a digital vw stock fuel sender so anything else was possible.  Was looking at various options on Amazon and also gps speedos.  Anyone any advise or pointers for a good job Amazon supplier?  Any advice or experience welcome.

Note if you have an alternator you need a bulb in the charge warning light as LED does not excite the charging but LED is fine with a dynamo.

You can have led in alternator circuit. All that is needed is an 12v bulb or resistor wired in parallel across the led terminals. I have this on my buggy. (Painted the 12v bulb black as it obviously lights up).

I was a Dealer for Acewell gauges for a while and found them to be really good and dead reliable - loads of senders on there too

Be aware that not many LCD/Digital display gauges play well when it comes to a rev counter -
If a rev counter is a must, get one with a needle that has a digital signal

Only trouble with my Acewell is the erratic rev counter display even with the resistor recommended or a larger one in the end of the sensor wire both on coil or plug lead it bounces and is miles out.

Its pretty much the same with any LCD rev counter - the needles tend to be damped and do not show the errattic input signal
