Been raking through some paper work and with the stuff I got included in the buggy I found a news letter.

Anyone got information about this meet? I have a news letter dated August 2002 - Issue 9 of the Midland Buggy Club.

There was a meet on August 17th at Malvern, Worcs

The Editor was Chad Chadwick and John Clever.

I also have a "Whats on in 1999" a list of dates  including the Dutch Buggy Club 25th birthday, where Brucie Meyers was booked to show up

I was indeed the editor, writer (for 95% of all material), layout man, printer, distibutor etc........

Basically there were 9 Sex Bugs and Sausage Rolls in total and I was considering scanning them in and sharing them with all.

We had some great get togethers in the 1990's, early 2000's.

The reality was I ended up doing most of the stuff for the club and thats really why it became a far more relaxed, non membership subs type club as I simply didn't have the time when I started up Doon.

We are still going in this more relaxed format (as you can see from the events section).

The website at the time was quite something as Rich (teh other half of Doon) is a computer wizz. It had stories on different models. member profiles etc but unfortunately has long since disappeared into the interweb ether.

Suppose I really should think about a new website someday when I have nothing else to be getting on with. But Hazel has thankfully added an info page on her website to keep us going.

Great to hear about a bit of history! I think the relaxed approach is the best, as long as you've got people with passion thats all you need, and a good pub with some nice driving roads

I think my buggy may have been there for number 4, but I found a photobucket album from Beach Buggy Extravangnza 4 which this newsletters about and I cant see my bug anywhere

I didn't realise you were there!!

BBE4 was part of a wider Kit Car show at the Malvern Showground. We had a great turnout.

Some real happy memories there.

My old SCOOR Race rail was there too 



And the Doon was new, shinny and evolving

I think yellow still is one of the most popular colours. Didn't Chad say yellow is the most favourite amongst Doon buyers?
