What set up have you used for steering column mounts?
will be rebuilding my buggy front end over the winter time and uprating the steering supports, So any advice, pics and measurements as to what you have on your buggy would be great!!

I've got a Berrien column support. No pics unfortunately. It's not installed at the moment. You could borrow it to have a copy fab'd up if you like.

Here's the bracket I made for my newbuild out of steel strip, water pipe and an exhaust clamp. It's solid, it works really well.

David, does that system flex at all? I have the same style I my buggy at the moment, Its made from an oval tube across the car, with a single fixing point to either side.
Would it be better made with box section or tube instead of the oval???
The play seems to be in the oval tube as when we wedged a bit of wood from the top of the gearbox tunnel to the cross bar the play was illiminated.
Any more pics or suggestions

You could always stiffen it by welding a length of flat bar along it like Berrien do..
