My name is Richard and I justed wanted to say how nice it was to meet up at the Rose and Crown, last week.

I am on the lookout for a long wheelbase beach buggy to purchase!

I've owned some interesting cars & bikes over the years - my first car was a Pontiac Trans AM.

So, I'm looking forward to getting my first buggy.

I was always fascinated by the Pontiac Trans Am as a kid. A lad at my primary school used to get dropped off in one each morning. Can't believe it was your first car!

Whilst its not the time of year to see many buggys out and about on the roads it is good for buying one as some people decide to clear their garages over the poor weather. So hold your nerve and keep an eye on this site and ebay etc.

Its always worth asking about a buggy not advertised on this site - either post or message a Moderator like Snoopy - because there's a fair chance some members either know the buggy or can offer really helpful pointers about what the buggy offers.

Thinks its more cart before the horse kind of thinking.

I've not been particularly aware than any intellectual attributes I may have have helped one iota in the buggy world.

Keeping close / knowing the contact details of the known experienced buggyists has turned numerous break downs into entertaining episodes to help the conversation flow during the dark/cold/wet low mileage days.

I sometimes wonder if Groucho Marx was right to say ' I don't want to belong to any club that would accept me as a member.'
