Hi all, ive just bought a Beach Buggy and I'm looking at changing the windscreen.

Unfortunately i don't know the body type so am looking for advice on who to buy from and what size i need from the dimensions i have.

The inside of the aluminium frame where it meets the body is 41 1/2"
Its approx 14 3/8" high from body to top of aluminium frame.
The legs are approx 7 1/2" long with hole centres of 2 1/2"
Outside of frame is 42 1/8"

Hopefully the pic shows the type of frame it is

many thanks in advance.

Try Jas  Buggies, I'm pretty sure they've got screens around the same width as yours.

Phone 01409 241929 as their website seems to be down at the moment.
"Ah, Beach Buggies, sure, just a quick cheap way of getting a few more years out of a rusty Beetle. You can throw one together in a weekend." anon.

That is a standard GP buggy screen. The folks/ firms still making buggy shells will sell you a new screen not sure of all the sizes though some of the VW spares firms also list them

Hi Paps like to know how you get on, I have an old and scuffed screen on my buggy currently and I am looking to replace in the near future.

Would appreciate if you drop me a message when you are done.

i used to supply new screens and screen surrounds for conciderably less than the vw parts suppliers ,but its just not worth me laying out the money anymore.so try a local marine suppliers or look up narrow boat window manufacturers
