Thanks Keith.

Border Screens were v friendly but ultimately came back saying they couldn't get the laminated glass, adding that Hereford Glass should be able to do it. Hereford Glass are closed today....so I'll try them tomorrow else I will be onto your 'neighbour' Jeff.

Well the bad luck/ minor frustrations are easily bearable when I can get on here and have almost immediately half a dozen suggestions. You're never alone with the buggy forum !

I've had a really good run this year so really can't complain...

Got to Hereford Glass 2 days ago. V friendly no problem attitude. Took an extra day to get in the right thickness laminated glass - meanwhile Autowindscreens rang to say I best try Autoglass.... - late yesterday collected nice new glass screen for £30. Man asked what it was from as they liked to guess - was it from a boat ?

Took over 2 hours to try to get it on the buggy only for a bolt to jamb in the slot before it had slid all the way on, then real game getting it off and the bolt head extracted but a bit of filing and screen now in place and awaiting upside down antics to tighten the bolts from under the dash.

So thanks to Border Windscreens (rec by Manx David) who put me onto Hereford Glass who flattering see me as one better than a buggy owner - a boat owner !

Thanks Dave but I won't be going into a wind screen fixing job anytime soon.

Thought boat owning was highly thought of in your neck of the woods ? I can envisage you with a Captains hat standing at the tiller staring meaningfully at the horizon.....

I can't own a boat in a marina near here, I have a chin and don't wear cravats or my pullover round my neck

It's the better than buggy bit I object to
